six degrees of halloween

yes, i know, i have totally slacked on the blog side of things.  my apologizes to the 3 of you who actually read this =).

i'm going to give it a third attempt, and really try to make this a regular (at minimum, weekly) thing...  therefore, in true bare minimum fashion, I am within 1 week of good old Halloween, and I wanted to honor one of my favorite holidays with a post.  it was my first year at the house passing out candy and decorating, and mine and drew's 6th Halloween together!  we always try to come up with interesting and creative costumes every year, and let me tell you...after six it is very hard!

year one: cop and a prisoner

not our most innovative year, but we were just getting started!

year two: spartans

'300' came out this year, clearly drew's idea...

year three: juno and bleeker

i will take full credit for this idea, and i still think it was our best costume

year four: mario and princess peach

this was a group costume idea, we were accompanied by luigi and toad below

nintendo!

year five: "bikers"

this was drew's idea, pretty hilarious if you ask me...

year six: batman and robin

another group idea here, we did a "superhero" theme below

just the boys, but pretty awesome!

my how time flies...

guess who is 1 now?  it is amazing to me how quickly time flies, and how my little puppies are no longer little!  barkley and mia had their first birthday last weekend, and it got me thinking how quickly they have grown before my eyes... i can't believe i have had them since September!  so, happy birthday barks and mia!

then we got a new house

and we ate some stuff

and dug a few holes...

and then slept off the shame...

but now we are big kids

and we watch over the house

and guard the door...

mom thinks we're pretty cute!

and now we are 1!

Thursday Tribute: Tom Cruise

anyone who knows me knows my deep l♥ve for and obsession with one mr. tom cruise.  in honor of tom's (yes, we are on a first name basis) birthday this sunday, i thought it would be fitting to chronicle my top 10 favorite characters he has played... this was a daunting task, as i own all of his 32 featured movies!  this will also make up for my lack of a tuesday ten this week...
